- Hmm, I seem to remember that this is a dodgy passtime! The media in a HD
- disk doesn't like being formatted at DD levels. In most cases it starts
- off fine, but the data slowly corrupts until nothing remains. I've had
- this happen to me on a PC, Amiga and 1581 and it wasn't until the 1581
- did it that I ruled out viral problems and started asking around!
-
- Pricewise HD disks tend to be cheaper in most cases than DD disks cos
- there are more being made!
-
- As far as blanks go, why not do what I do and get loads of cheap Amiga
- games and reformat the disks? I got about 6 copies of Rise of the Robots
- for the A1200 from work for a couple of quid each and the '81 loves 'em!
